Puppy Training Behind the Photos

This gallery records the 48th Puppy Class, which began July 21, 2021 in Medford. The Puppy Preschool curriculum is built around short, age-appropriate training that teaches puppies how to learn while giving owners practical ways to handle common challenges at home.

Because this is an archived class from 2021, the photographs are presented as a historical record rather than as a claim that every pictured dog is performing every skill described below. These are core skills taught across this Prodogz class series.

Puppy biting and jumping foundations

Puppy biting and jumping are normal young-dog behaviors, but they are much easier to shape before they become practiced habits. Owners learn how to redirect biting, reward appropriate interaction and teach the puppy that calm behavior and four paws on the floor are more successful ways to get attention.

Foundation obedience without overwhelming the puppy

Early obedience introduces simple skills such as sit, down, come and leash awareness in short, age-appropriate sessions. The emphasis is on helping the puppy understand how learning works and keeping training clear and rewarding rather than expecting adult-level duration or precision too soon.

Confidence and thoughtful socialization

Puppy socialization is approached as confidence building, not simply meeting as many dogs or people as possible. Safe exposure to new surfaces, sounds, handling, environments and appropriate social experiences helps puppies learn to recover from novelty without becoming overwhelmed.

To start building these skills with a new puppy, visit the Puppy Classes page and review Prodogz's current class information and application process.
