Puppy Training Behind the Photos

Photos from the 60th Puppy Class document one chapter of Prodogz's Puppy Preschool history. Starting April 22, 2022, owners worked from the same core idea that guides the program today: build engagement and confidence first, then use those foundations to teach manners and early obedience.

Because this is an archived class from 2022, the photographs are presented as a historical record rather than as a claim that every pictured dog is performing every skill described below. These are core skills taught across this Prodogz class series.

Puppy biting and jumping foundations

Puppy biting and jumping are normal young-dog behaviors, but they are much easier to shape before they become practiced habits. Owners learn how to redirect biting, reward appropriate interaction and teach the puppy that calm behavior and four paws on the floor are more successful ways to get attention.

Helping the owner learn, too

Puppy class is as much about teaching the owner as teaching the puppy. Clear reward timing, realistic expectations and consistent practice between classes give families a repeatable system they can use as the puppy matures and encounters new distractions.

Foundation obedience without overwhelming the puppy

Early obedience introduces simple skills such as sit, down, come and leash awareness in short, age-appropriate sessions. The emphasis is on helping the puppy understand how learning works and keeping training clear and rewarding rather than expecting adult-level duration or precision too soon.

This gallery is historical, but the early-training goals remain relevant. See current Prodogz puppy classes for upcoming dates and enrollment details in Medford.
