Puppy Training Behind the Photos

Photos from the 71st Puppy Class document one chapter of Prodogz's Puppy Preschool history. Starting November 25, 2022, owners worked from the same core idea that guides the program today: build engagement and confidence first, then use those foundations to teach manners and early obedience.

Because this is an archived class from 2022, the photographs are presented as a historical record rather than as a claim that every pictured dog is performing every skill described below. These are core skills taught across this Prodogz class series.

Helping the owner learn, too

Puppy class is as much about teaching the owner as teaching the puppy. Clear reward timing, realistic expectations and consistent practice between classes give families a repeatable system they can use as the puppy matures and encounters new distractions.

Puppy biting and jumping foundations

Puppy biting and jumping are normal young-dog behaviors, but they are much easier to shape before they become practiced habits. Owners learn how to redirect biting, reward appropriate interaction and teach the puppy that calm behavior and four paws on the floor are more successful ways to get attention.

Early leash skills and recall games

Puppies begin learning that moving with the handler and returning when called can be fun and rewarding. Short leash exercises and recall games create good habits before pulling, ignoring the owner or chasing distractions have had months to become stronger patterns.

This gallery is historical, but the early-training goals remain relevant. See current Prodogz puppy classes for upcoming dates and enrollment details in Medford.
