Photos from the 60th Basic Obedience Class show one point in Prodogz's ongoing group-training history. Beginning July 2, 2018, this series followed the same practical idea that still guides Basic Obedience: teach the dog what earns reinforcement, then gradually ask for reliability in more realistic situations.
Because this is an archived class from 2018, the photographs are presented as a historical record rather than as a claim that every pictured dog is performing every skill described below. These are core skills taught across this Prodogz class series.
Loose-leash walking around distractions
Handlers work on loose-leash walking and maintaining focus when other dogs, people, movement and interesting smells are nearby. The goal is practical control for everyday walks: less pulling, better check-ins with the handler and a dog that can return its attention when the environment becomes distracting.
Sit, down, stay and impulse control
Foundation behaviors such as sit, down and stay are practiced as useful real-life skills rather than isolated tricks. Impulse-control work helps dogs learn to pause, wait and make better choices around doors, food, greetings and other situations where excitement can otherwise take over.
Recall and attention
Coming when called is another important part of the obedience foundation. Owners learn to make the recall cue meaningful, reward the response clearly and build reliability in manageable steps instead of repeatedly calling a dog that is too distracted to succeed.
