111th Basic Obedience Class Photo Gallery
This gallery documents the 111th Basic Obedience Class at Prodogz Dog Training in Medford, Oregon, beginning August 1, 2022. These 3 photos preserve real class moments with Southern Oregon dog owners, their dogs, and trainer Jason Lake.
Prodogz obedience classes help handlers develop clearer communication, engagement, leash skills, reliable responses, and practical manners for everyday life. These archived images recognize the clients and dogs who put those skills into practice as a class.
Training Skills Behind This Class
Photos from the 111th Basic Obedience Class show one point in Prodogz's ongoing group-training history. Beginning August 1, 2022, this series followed the same practical idea that still guides Basic Obedience: teach the dog what earns reinforcement, then gradually ask for reliability in more realistic situations.
Because this is an archived class from 2022, the photographs are presented as a historical record rather than as a claim that every pictured dog is performing every skill described below. These are core skills taught across this Prodogz class series.
Building reliability step by step
Prodogz emphasizes progressing from simple repetitions to more realistic distractions. Dogs first need to understand the behavior; then owners gradually ask for the same response with more distance, duration or distraction so obedience becomes useful outside a quiet training moment.
Loose-leash walking around distractions
Handlers work on loose-leash walking and maintaining focus when other dogs, people, movement and interesting smells are nearby. The goal is practical control for everyday walks: less pulling, better check-ins with the handler and a dog that can return its attention when the environment becomes distracting.
Recall and attention
Coming when called is another important part of the obedience foundation. Owners learn to make the recall cue meaningful, reward the response clearly and build reliability in manageable steps instead of repeatedly calling a dog that is too distracted to succeed.
The archive shows the history of the program; the Basic Obedience Classes page explains the current format, curriculum and how to apply for an upcoming series in Medford.
