Your application has been received. Please review the information below before your first class so you and your dog arrive prepared.

Important Class Information

Prodogz Dog Training
201 E. Barnett Rd.
Medford, OR 97504

We are located in the WinCo Shopping Center next to the Sushi restaurant.

Class time: Most group classes are held from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Your exact class start date and class type will be confirmed by Prodogz.

Puppy Pre-school Class

For puppies enrolled in Puppy Pre-school.

The first night can be exciting for young puppies. Barking, whining, pulling, and distraction are normal. Please do not feel embarrassed.

If your puppy becomes excited or vocal, drop a few small pieces of food near your feet and let your puppy search for them. This helps redirect attention and gives your puppy something productive to do.

After Puppy Pre-school, many families continue into Basic Obedience to keep building communication, engagement, and reliable manners.

Basic Obedience Class

For dogs enrolled in Basic Obedience.

Please bring your dog on a regular leash with a secure collar. If you are having trouble controlling your dog, we can help evaluate equipment needs during class.

Flat nylon, leather, chain, and prong collars may be appropriate depending on your dog and your level of control.

Please prevent your dog from greeting or playing with other dogs when entering class. This helps us keep the environment safe, calm, and productive.

What to Bring to Class

1
Training Food

Bring 2-3 sandwich bags full of soft, high-value food such as hot dogs, string cheese, lunch meat, or cooked chicken.

2
Regular Leash

Please bring a standard leash. No retractable leashes.

3
Collar

Bring a secure collar that gives you safe control of your dog.

4
Cleanup Bags

Please bring plastic bags so you can clean up after your dog if needed.

5
Training Pouch

Optional, but very helpful for quick access to your dog's rewards.

6
Questions or Notes

Bring any questions or concerns you want help with during class.

Training Food Is Very Important

Please cut your training food into nickel-sized pieces before class. The food should be soft enough to squish between your fingers and easy for your dog to eat quickly.

Please avoid: hard treats, crunchy biscuits, and dry kibble. These are usually not valuable enough and slow the training process down.

We recommend not feeding your dog breakfast or a large meal before class. A slightly hungry dog is usually more focused and motivated to work for rewards. You can feed your dog's regular meal after class.

Another option is Tuna Fudge. You can find a recipe here: Dog Treat Recipe - Tuna Fudge.

First Class Expectations

The first class is often exciting for many dogs. Barking, whining, pulling, or distraction is normal.

If your dog is distracted, scatter a few small pieces of food on the floor near your feet and let your dog search for them. This gives your dog something productive to do and helps redirect attention away from the other dogs.

Live Stream / Video Recording

We live stream many classes on our Facebook page so family members can watch from home if they cannot attend.
